Hitch'sUS tour is finally booked and the boys are ready to rock the States. They will be joining Haymarket Riot from the US and Balloons from Japan and will be touring for little over a week. Words can't describe how proud I am to announce that one of the most famous Bosnian rock musicians, writer and overall artist Damir Avdich is now officially part of the Moonlee family. That's right, in late March we'll be releasing his sophomore album titled Mrtvi Su Mrtvi and we'll make sure to provide a little sneak peak, so make sure to log back on here within a few days or so.
That's right, the release date of Psycho-Path's brand new album titled The Ass-Soul Of Psycho-Path is slowly approaching. Their 5th full length effort will see the light of a day on March 3rd, 2008. For almost four years now people have been waiting for new Psycho-Path's album and we're more than excited and stoked to have everything in works now. You'll be nicely surprised when you see the artwork, which will include a 16 sheet booklet and will be packed in a digipack. Oh and last but not least there is one song available for download that will be featured on The Ass-Soul Of Psycho-Path - it's called War. Enjoy!
Me and my little helpers wish you a happy New Year! Let's hope one day soon we'll rock in a truly free world. Here's a nice vegan recipe I grabbed from The Post Punk Kitchen for you to bake and share with friends and family.
Equipment:
12 cupcake tins and paper liners, 2 medium mixing bowls.
Ingredients
For the cupcakes
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
3 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup light molasses
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup soy milk
2 tablespoons soy yogurt
1 1/2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest
For the frosting
1/4 cup soybean margarine
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1/3 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 cup soymilk
juice of 1 lemon
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F / 180 C. Line tins with paper cupcake liners.
Sift together flour through salt.
Wisk together wet ingredients (oil through yogurt) until well emulsified.
Fold dry ingredients into wet, wisking to combine.
Fold in lemon peel and crystalized ginger.
Pour into tins, 2/3 of the way.
Bake 17 - 22 minutes, until top springs back when touched or a toothpick comes out clean.
When fully cooled frost them with frosting below.
Prepare the frosting
In a round bottom bowl cream margarine and shortening with a strong fork. This could take 5 minutes, to make sure they are thoroughly blended and smooth. Add sugar and mix, adding splashes of soymilk as you go along to make blending easier. Add lemon juice, and keep creaming away until everything is perfectly smooth. Refrigerate until cupcakes are ready for frosting.
There are only few more days remaining before the Moonleejada takes place in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This upcoming Saturday (November 24th) you'll be able to experience some of the finest Moonlee bands and trust me, this will be a unique experience. However, if some of you can't make it to Ljubljana make sure not to miss a TWO day Moonlee festival in Zagreb, Croatia. That's right, on November 30th and December 1st, a two day Moonlee fest titled All Moonlee's Parties will take place in Zagreb's legendary club Mochvara. AMP will feature not only Moonlee bands but also other amazing acts. Croatian webzine Terapija.Net uploaded a downloadable podcast featuring one song of each band that will be performing. I decided to end this year with two Moonlee festivals. Moonleejada will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia on November 24th, and in Zagreb, Croatia we'll be preparing a two day fest called All Moonlee's Parties on November 30th and December 1st. I'll post more details real soon. Mark your calendars!
Chang Ffos will be touring with Suma this November. This tour is titled Dire Gospels and there is even a Myspace page where you can check all the dates. If you're a fan of hard and heavy stoner rock you will love both bands, be prepared for a heavy stoner performance, heaviest you have ever seen.

With great excitment I'm informing you that Los Dias De Junio, the second album from Croatia's finest post-rockers Don't Mess With Texas, is now available.
On this album, Don't Mess With Texas manage to condense their established dazzling epic sound into well-defined, focused and concise songs. Hush and serene while being dynamic, but far from sounding pompous or overstuffed, Don't Mess With Texas are determined to make you calm and disturbed at the same time. This is no easy feat, but as heard on this album, Neven, Ozren, Sasha and Slobich once again pull it off easily and in a successful manner.
On Monday, October 8th famous Croatian Radio 101 is going to host Don't Mess With Texas on their Van Struje show. Guys from DMWT will not only talk about their new album Los DIas De Junio that as a matter of fact hits the streets on that same day, but they will also perform live songs off of this album. Hey, hey, hey, I have some amazing news for all of you out there. Once again my family is expanding and I am proud to announce that Hesus Attor are my newborn baby hailing from Rijeka, Croatia. So far they have released three full lengths under their own record label called Izdali Smo Metal, and with every release their sound matured and reached a higher level. Their Moonlee release will be band's 4th full length album that will make you think you're listening to a collaboration between Fantomas, Melvins and Frank Zappa. I will definitely keep you updated on this one, just sit tight and be prepared for experimental metal mayhem.
I just wanted to let you all know that one of my little helpers is going to visit Czech'sFluff Fest, the most important and amazing Hardcore/Punk/Indie festival Europe has ever seen. Feel free to stop by our distro to trade some records or just to simply say "Hi".
Psycho-Path are about to enter the infamous Slovenian recording studio Shtala to record their fifth full length album. This time the band will be working with Mr. Bobby MacIntyre of The Twilight Singers to record their latest material they've been working on for the past 18 months.
Here is a video of their live performance on one of the biggest cultural happenings in Slovenia known as Lent Festival. Video was filmed by Vasja Eigner. Make sure to check it out cause that's your first chance to hear Bekkognition - one of the songs that'll be featured on their upcoming Moonlee full length.
Debeli Precjednik / Fat Prezident are hitting stage in Ljubljana with some of the world's finest punk rock acts Me First And The Gimme Gimmes. Date is June 20th, other stagemates include London's TAT and Slovenian's In-Sane. Make sure not to miss this punk rock delight.
Hitch are done filming video for a song titled It Gets Better off their We Are Electric! album. This video is a real piece of art done by Wim Reygaert, it was shot in one shot in a local striptease bar called Maxim located in lovely K-town. Enjoy!

We're stoked to announce that another trooper
is joining Moonlee army. Slovenia's finest Psycho-Path are newest face on our roster. After continuous touring throughout
the Europe, supporting Girls Against Boys, various releases,
line-up changes etc... Psycho-Path decided to work with us
and we're truly excited about their upcoming release on Moonlee.
Keep your eyes opened, we're expecting their new album to hit the
streets at the end of '07.
Don't Mess With Texas are finished with
recording their sophomore album. They recorded in a movie theatre
in Zagreb and are currently in the process of mixing, and
then, mastering their recordings. We're happy to say that their
new album will be released sometime after the summer. It has nine
songs and is a little less than 40 minutes long. I'll definitely
keep you updated on this release.

It's all good, Six is still part of my family and

expecting another baby and my family just keeps on growing. Senata

are the newest members of the Moonlee family. Their

of the infamous Today Is The Day. Chang
Ffos are the heaviest outfit Croatia has to offer and I'm
real excited about this release. You should be too!
There are no words to describe the hapiness with
which I must announce that our newest release BILK This
Bilk is Radiactive CD is finally out!
All I can say is that it was worth waiting. Their
heuristic approach enabled them to produce a brilliant album featuring
a sound unheard in this area before. The groove, coming out of their
drums, bass, synthesizers and guitar is built from various music
styles melted into a breakbeat mass of pure positive energy. You
will get caught by the flow of melodies and beats, until you start
nodding your head thinking "yes, this is it!"
This BILK is Radioactive
and after listening to it for a while - unable to stop dancing and
shaking, moving and tapping – you might feel cursed. Your muscles
will ache like never before and there will be a big smile spread
over your face. Nothing will ever be like it was before. You will

Let me introduce you another of my little sweeties…
(can you hear my voice trembling? I am so excited to announce this!).
The band has a proper name to conquer the world
in the year to come - Debeli Precjednik (Fat Prezident)
- a punkrock blast from Osijek, far east of Croatia. Melodic punkrock
can be really boring and dull, but these guys definitely know how
to make it fresh and unique. Their music is incredibly catchy while
still raw enough not to become too sweet and cheesy. With unique
emotional vocals on one side and sharp guitars and merciless driving
rhythms on the other they manage to capture and deliver incredible
energy, which grabs you in no time and your month suddenly starts
to singalong the lyrics and the song you don’t know. Just like
we all do with bands like Hot Water Music, Descendents and alike.
It's simply magic born from love for music, good jokes, passion
for football, and the taste of beer and wine.
The die-hards will maybe remember their beginnings
in 1996 and their first EP. Now, after two great full length albums,
numerous shows, few tours and especially hectolitres and tons of
alcohol drunk, it's time for a new chapter in their history. Debeli
Precjednik spent part of their summer/autumn time in Kozmo
Studio to record new full length called Through The
Eyes Of The Innocent which will be released on Moonlee
Records in the early months of 2006. Get ready to be blown away!
I always supported the idea that youngsters should explore new places and gain new experiences. And I'm happy to announce that one of my little children will hit the road again. In the first half of November Don't Mess With Texas will play twelve shows all around central Europe. And I'm really happy (I always think it's is better to be happy than proud) to announce that debut album of Bilk called This Bilk Is Radioactive will be released on Moonlee Records. They are without any doubt one of the most promising bands in Croatia and it makes no sense trying to capture the richness of their music with dull labels and descriptions. It is much better to simply let youself got caught by the flow of melodies and beats, until you find yourself noding your head thinking "yes, this is really good!". They are in the studio right finishing their material for the upcoming album which should see the light of the day by the end of the year. Dear friends, we are very sad having to inform you that we haven't left yet for the tour we so terribly waited for. Some unexpected interferences took control of our lifes and we had to cancel the first 4 shows of what was supposed to be a 9-day trip through Germany, Poland and Denmark. We are truly sorry and still looking for words to explain the situation to Ingo who booked all the shows, to the promoters and to the people that we would have met in Leipzig, Magdeburg, Muelheim and Hamburg. We feel miserable about this and we can't wait to get another chance to get to these places. Please don't be mad at us.
We'll hit the road on Monday evening so we can get to Aalborg, Denmark on Tuesday evening. This time no one will stop us. The shows that are left are listed bellow.

Summer time is coming and with it lots of cool open air festival where you can enjoy all these lousy bands, dance and sing-a-long like weirdest weirdo, talk to the nicest girl/boy you ever met (or at least you feel like it) or simply drink yourself to sleep. I simply love it and I must do everything to catch at least some of them....

Some of my little kiddies named DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS and ENTREAT. will rock on the festival and since my headquaters are in that city I will be the one and only special guest of the festival.
Along my little kiddies there are tons of cool bands worth seeing - THE QUEERS (usa), CHILDREN OF FALL (swe), THE SECRET (ita), THE DEATH OF ANNA KARINA (ita), OVERMARS (fra), DEBELI PRECJEDNIK (cro), SURVIVING THE SUNSET (aut), LASTING VALUES (cro), ANGELS.MAY.BLEED (ita), LEAF-FAT, THA FLOW, FINAL APPROACH and MOZAK (slo).
But like I said in the beginning, music is not of biggest importance for many. That's why music program will be accompanied with video projections and after the show there will be wild disco party until the morning. Free camping will be possible on the courtyard of Mostovna, there will be space for distros, lots of vegan food and drinks, and especially delicious coffee in the morning.
Don't Mess With Texas will play this Sunday at Mochvara in Zagreb. Entrance is free, party starts at 17:00. I'll bring Moonleecake and Moonleetea. You should bring something sweet too! Eiscream would be perfect! They'll start to play around 19:00, before it gets dark. It'll be fun, don't miss it!

Presentation of golden era of HC/punkrock movement in Nova Gorica area in late nineties. We will turn the time back with videos, exhibition of posters, music releases and zines, and exclusive show with some of the bands that ruled our worlds at that time MAN IN THE SHADOW, STRAIGHTFORWARD, LOW PUNCH, PIZDA MATERNA, ZAVRZENI and NE JEBEMO SISTEMA.

First of all, thanks to all of you who were there. It was nice to see you in a such huge amount. I was surprised. I hope you enjoyed all the bands. I truly did and after this I'll probably have more respect for them. Maybe we could have gain more publicity in the media if I performed the touch of death on that silly so called sound engineer but who cares now. We need more peace in the world anyway. In the end I also want to thank the man without whom all of this wouldn't possible. Mate Škugor - you are already a legend! See you next year or in some other place - we're working now a series of Moonlee Fests in this part of the world...

interview with Analena was broadcasted on Slovenian
POP TV a few days ago. The band appeared in music
part of a show called ŠKL.
We have good news for all those who missed it, but still want to

Don't Mess With Texas won't go
to Dubrovnik (HR) with Lunar tomorrow
because Neven is still recovering from the injuries
he got when a car hit him a couple of days ago. Don't worry, it's
nothing serious. He'll be as good as new for the show in Nova
Gorica (SLO) next Saturday.
All my kids will gather on Feburary 25,
2005 in Zagreb, Croatia on the first and hopefully not
the last Moonlee Festival. I strongly advise you
to be there. The venue is SKUC and in case you

RELEASE DATE OF VINYLS ARE BEING DELAYED
I
know how delays aren't very popular in these days, but I'm left
without no choice here. I'm going through a serious financial hiatus
because of some unexpected problems with Croatian Customs and I'm
forced to postpone the release date of vinyl versions of Analena
and DMWT albums. That's what happens when you are
breaking the law. Anyway, you vinyl lovers, be a bit more patient
and wait for them for a few days more. Thanks for understanding.
Oh,
what a crazy week my helpers and I had! We drove through half of
Europe to pick up the Analena and Don't
Mess With Texas cds and to bring them over to my Slovenian
outpost. My E-store with secure payment options
will be functional by the end of this week. If you can't wait till
then you can order these releases in the good old fashioned punk
way, but please contact me first at moonlee@moonleerecords.com.
After
that I still hadn't had enough of driving through bad weather so
I joined Analena on their trip to Belgrade
and Novi Sad. I don't regret a single second of
the time spent there. It was amazing! Analenautics
asked me to send their best regards and a lot of hugs and kisses
to all the nice people they met there.
My
family is small, but growing! Its newest member is an instrumental
and so called post-rock outfit named Don't Mess With Texas.
The band is from Zagreb, with ex-members of some great bands like
Nikad, Radio Free Isaac, Lunar
and Reactor. They have just finished recording
their self titled debut album and I'm more than happy to be the
one who is going to release it!
