Anyway, someone's recently pieced together a video for their song Waste Of My Time, which is basically a bunch of video clips filmed at the Pannonian Challenge contest back in 2009. The Bosnian psycho known as Damir Avdić sure doesn't waste time. After completing his novel Enter DŽehenem and putting on a monodrama, entitled Most na krvi (The Bridge Over Blood), he decided it's time to return to the studio and record a new album. That's exactly what he did, so expect Život je raj (Life Is Paradise) sometime during Spring. Out on Moonlee Records, of course. Stay tuned for more info and some MP3s.
Macedonian post-punx Bernays Propaganda have recorded a new album.
The album, My Personal Holiday, will contain 9 songs, some in English, some in Macedonian, and the mastering will be taken care of by the almost legendary Carl Saff.
Just like the vinyl version of their debut album, this will also be a collaboration of a few indie labels, Moonlee Records included. If everything works out, you can expect the album sometime in May.
Oh, and being the road warriors that they are, Bernays Propaganda will definitely do some touring in support of My Personal Holiday, so, as we like to say, stay tuned for more info!
Even though they're currently touring their asses off somewhere in Western Europe, In-Sane still managed to find some time to keep a tour diary - you can read it here, on their "temporary" website. It may not be updated on a daily basis, but hey, touring and keeping a diary at the same time is hard work! Anyway, check it out.

The second one, to be precise. The video (for the song "Nelson"), which is a symbolic farewell to Sonic Gastronomy Vol. 1, was done by Saša Đuračić a.k.a. Salelived, a guy who's been making bizzare Monty Python/Southpark-styled cartoons for some time now.

On the morning of 29th December, they played live on the Afterparty show at Radio Študent, a Slovenian radio station that's very supportive of the local scene, plays good music and has more than 40 years of tradition. The session was captured on tape and you can view it on Vimeo.
Beside that, the guys will soon embark on a really HUGE European tour, and I'm talking 35-day kind of huge. Anyways, try to catch them if you can, chances are you won't regret it. The tourdates are listed below, obviously.

Hesus Attor have a new member on board - a second guitarist! The new guy, called Gorgonzol Matadores, has shown that he's capable of cracking the Code of Hesus and thereby became a new member of the band.
These days will also be marked by the release of breakcore remixes of their two songs from the "Sonic gastronomy vol.1", released in 2008. on Moonlee Records. The songs are "Cahracack" and "Guatemala dreaming", remixed by a breakcore maniac that goes by the name of Disbreakz. The title of the remix is "Chaotic, Dadaist & Dissonant Mathbreak Raving", and that's exactly how it sounds. Breakcore, man!
Disbreakz has combined both songs into an unbelieveable mashup that goes on for 2.45 minutes. The remix will be officially released as a free download in January on the Various Artist: Distorted Mind international breakcore compilation by the 10-year strong hardcore/breakcore label D-Trash Records. You can listen to it on the Hesus Attor and Disbreakz myspace pages.

This short tour in support of their new album, "Inconstantinopolis", will take them through the Balkans and all the way to Istanbul (Constantinople), Turkey. Some obvious symbolism there, eh?

ANALENA's new record is ready. It took forever to finish but was definitely worth waiting for.
Their new adventure, intriguingly titled "Inconstantinopolis", is a burning torch at the top of the band’s discographic history. A mainstay of the underground scene for over a decade, ANALENA is still an absolutely unique wave of sonic fantasy, rousing your imagination as it uncompromisingly rips from the beginning to the end of the record. It's hard to compare ANALENA to other bands, but many other bands are often compared to ANALENA. This itself says a lot, but we'd rather let the music do the talking, so here's a little preview - ANALENA's new song, "Inconstantinopolis", which you can download here.
"Inconstantinopolis" will be released on November 9 and accompanied with release parties in Zagreb (Croatia) and Ljubljana (Slovenia) which will feature support from mates that go by the names of In-Sane and Cripple And Casino. This will also be the celebration of Moonlee Records' 5th anniversary. Definitely something you wouldn't want to miss.
And at the end of October, ANALENA is planning a short Balkan tour that will take them all the way to ancient Constantinople. Check them out if you get the chance.

Bernays Propaganda have a new bass player! The reasons for Sasa's (the ex-bass player, you know) departure are kinda unknown, but rest assured that it was on friendly terms.
Anyway, the new guy is Tripe of FxPxOx fame and the new lineup will make its debut on 1st July in Prilep, Macedonia. They'll also be touring the Balkans in July, so be on the lookout!

It will be organized by ACT in cooperation with Moonlee

Unfortunately sometimes we have to hit you up with sad news. One of the first Moonlee's bands broke up. My dear post rockers Don't Mess With Texas decided to separate their ways. Here is an official statement by the band:
"Dear friends....
We wanted to let you all know that Don’t Mess With Texas disbanded. We decided to break up and stop functioning as a band. It just didn’t feel right anymore. It makes no sense to write sagas about the break up or about the band, we just want to thank everyone that helped us in any way, it was wonderful while it lasted. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Sasha, Ozren, Slobich and Neven."
We will make sure to keep you updated on new bands and projects that might rise from DMWT's ashes. We still have their two amazing records up for sale as well as t-shirts and buttons in our online shop.
Mr. Moonlee and his Moonlee Records are returning to Ljubljana and they're bringing along the traditional Moonleejada 2009 festival. Macedonians Bernays Propaganda have recently entered Radio 101's Top 40 Countdown chart with their song "Are You Enjoying Being in Your Own Accompaniment?".
Radio 101 is one of Croatia's largest, most long-lived and most important independent radio stations, and since this chart contains only foreign singles, this is a huge success as Bernays Propaganda are possibly the first band from the Balkans to enter the chart. Anyway, check it out here and feel free to cast your vote.

Bernays Propaganda's long-anticipated album titled "Happiness Machines" will finally hit the streets on the 6th of April 2009.
For those of you who don't know, Bernays Propaganda are a post punk band straight outta Skopje, Macedonia.
However, they are definitely not just another bunch of trend-hopping post punk revivalists. Unlike many other bands who allegedly draw their influences from Gang of Four, The Slits, Fugazi etc., Bernays Propaganda have strong ideals and their lyrics aren't just empty words.

We added another soul to our expanding Moonlee family. This time it's Macedonia's infamous Bernays Propaganda. They are first Macedonian band on Moonlee and to be honest if there was one Macedonian artist we could work with, it would most definitely be them. We are talking here about extremely political band influenced by a variety of bands, from Submission Hold over Fugazi all the way to the Gossip. Actual recording of their Moonlee debut will start in October, and the Propaganda will be working with Valentino Skenderovski from Entreprise studio, so expect a bomb! We're expecting the album to hit the stores in February followed by a European tour in February and March of 2009. Keep your eyes and ears opened.
We just wanted to give you a little update on our In-Sane-rs. They are working hard on their upcoming Moonlee debut and we kid you not, their album will be some of the greatest political punk-rock records to come out from this end of the world. On September 15th Hesus Attor's long waited Sonic Gastronomy Volume 1 hits the streets! All we can say at this point is, that the whole thing was definitely worth a wait. Hesus Attor have been described as Croatian version of Mr. Bungle, and to a certain extent that comparison makes sense and is true, but on the other hand the craziness Hesus Attor managed to pull off on Moonlee's debut Sonic Gastronomy Volume 1 is outstanding and unique, so don't be surprised if you won't be able to resist the chaos and the beauty you'll be offered. Think of The Dillinger Escape Plan's perfection and maneuvers courtesy of Mr. Bungle and add a lot of uniqueness to the whole package to see how Hesus Attor mastered their craft in the holy Sonic Gastronomy.

Veliki Tabor, one of Croatia's nicest medieval castles will be home of another Tabor Film Festival. This year though, there will be musical part of the festival called Taboroteka which will welcome some of the greatest indie bands and performers out there. Besides this years headliners DÄLEK there will be other great acts such as AFION and ZOZOPHONIC ORCHESTRA plus Damir Avdic and Vuneny who will represent the Moonlee team. Be there, or be square.
This years Rokaj Fest will take place in Zagreb, on lake Jarun to be exact, on July 4th, 5th and 6th. We're happy two announce that there will be two Moonlee artists performing this year among the amazing headliners such as The Lemonheads, Wire, The Godfathers etc...
First we'd like to mention Damir Avdic, who will not only rip the stage but will also have an exclusive performance with the infamous Croatian/Bosnian rap star Edo Maajka under the new project name TRNOKOP. TRNOKOP have their debut performance on the first day of the fest, which is Friday, July 4th, at 9:30 PM. Our second stars of the fest are Psycho-Path who will be performing on the last day of the fest, Sunday, July 6th at 5:45 PM.
We're talking here about overall great rock festival and if you don't show up you will miss out on a lot of amazing bands. Period.

Me and my little helpers wish you a happy New Year! Let's hope one day soon we'll rock in a truly free world. Here's a nice vegan recipe I grabbed from The Post Punk Kitchen for you to bake and share with friends and family.
Equipment:
12 cupcake tins and paper liners, 2 medium mixing bowls.
Ingredients
For the cupcakes
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
3 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup light molasses
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup soy milk
2 tablespoons soy yogurt
1 1/2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest
For the frosting
1/4 cup soybean margarine
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1/3 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 cup soymilk
juice of 1 lemon
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F / 180 C. Line tins with paper cupcake liners.
Sift together flour through salt.
Wisk together wet ingredients (oil through yogurt) until well emulsified.
Fold dry ingredients into wet, wisking to combine.
Fold in lemon peel and crystalized ginger.
Pour into tins, 2/3 of the way.
Bake 17 - 22 minutes, until top springs back when touched or a toothpick comes out clean.
When fully cooled frost them with frosting below.
Prepare the frosting
In a round bottom bowl cream margarine and shortening with a strong fork. This could take 5 minutes, to make sure they are thoroughly blended and smooth. Add sugar and mix, adding splashes of soymilk as you go along to make blending easier. Add lemon juice, and keep creaming away until everything is perfectly smooth. Refrigerate until cupcakes are ready for frosting.
There are only few more days remaining before the Moonleejada takes place in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This upcoming Saturday (November 24th) you'll be able to experience some of the finest Moonlee bands and trust me, this will be a unique experience. However, if some of you can't make it to Ljubljana make sure not to miss a TWO day Moonlee festival in Zagreb, Croatia. That's right, on November 30th and December 1st, a two day Moonlee fest titled All Moonlee's Parties will take place in Zagreb's legendary club Mochvara. AMP will feature not only Moonlee bands but also other amazing acts. Croatian webzine Terapija.Net uploaded a downloadable podcast featuring one song of each band that will be performing. I decided to end this year with two Moonlee festivals. Moonleejada will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia on November 24th, and in Zagreb, Croatia we'll be preparing a two day fest called All Moonlee's Parties on November 30th and December 1st. I'll post more details real soon. Mark your calendars!

On this album, Don't Mess With Texas manage to condense their established dazzling epic sound into well-defined, focused and concise songs. Hush and serene while being dynamic, but far from sounding pompous or overstuffed, Don't Mess With Texas are determined to make you calm and disturbed at the same time. This is no easy feat, but as heard on this album, Neven, Ozren, Sasha and Slobich once again pull it off easily and in a successful manner.
On Monday, October 8th famous Croatian Radio 101 is going to host Don't Mess With Texas on their Van Struje show. Guys from DMWT will not only talk about their new album Los DIas De Junio that as a matter of fact hits the streets on that same day, but they will also perform live songs off of this album. Hey, hey, hey, I have some amazing news for all of you out there. Once again my family is expanding and I am proud to announce that Hesus Attor are my newborn baby hailing from Rijeka, Croatia. So far they have released three full lengths under their own record label called Izdali Smo Metal, and with every release their sound matured and reached a higher level. Their Moonlee release will be band's 4th full length album that will make you think you're listening to a collaboration between Fantomas, Melvins and Frank Zappa. I will definitely keep you updated on this one, just sit tight and be prepared for experimental metal mayhem.

Psycho-Path are about to enter the infamous Slovenian recording studio Shtala to record their fifth full length album. This time the band will be working with Mr. Bobby MacIntyre of The Twilight Singers to record their latest material they've been working on for the past 18 months.
Here is a video of their live performance on one of the biggest cultural happenings in Slovenia known as Lent Festival. Video was filmed by Vasja Eigner. Debeli Precjednik / Fat Prezident are hitting stage in Ljubljana with some of the world's finest punk rock acts Me First And The Gimme Gimmes. Date is June 20th, other stagemates include London's TAT and Slovenian's In-Sane. Make sure not to miss this punk rock delight.

and we're truly excited about their upcoming release on Moonlee.

streets at the end of '07.
Don't Mess With Texas are finished with
recording their sophomore album. They recorded in a movie theatre
in Zagreb and are currently in the process of mixing, and
then, mastering their recordings. We're happy to say that their
new album will be released sometime after the summer. It has nine
songs and is a little less than 40 minutes long. I'll definitely
keep you updated on this release.

It's all good, Six is still part of my family and

I have another announcement to make. Moonlee
is going very
international! I am proudly announcing that Belgium's almighty Hitch
are officially part of my family. I'll be releasing their 4th album
together with my cousin that runs Belgium's Vlas
Vegas. Album titled We Are Electric!
was recorded at Kozmo studio and will be released
both as a cd and a nice thick 12".
Hitch are one of the biggest indie rock bands Europe
has to offer, so make sure to keep your eyes opened cause this baby
is hitting the streets on April 24th in Belgium
and May 8th in rest of the world.
Well, hello everyone! I'm back with some more
news. I am real psyched to announce that Chang Ffos
are the newest members of the Moonlee family. Their
debut album titled Trust This Arcane Device
will come out on May 8th '06. The material was recorded at Kozmo
studio and mastering was handled by Mr. Steve Austin
of the infamous Today Is The Day. Chang
Ffos are the heaviest outfit Croatia has to offer and I'm
real excited about this release. You should be too!
There are no words to describe the hapiness with
which I must announce that our newest release BILK This
Bilk is Radiactive CD is finally out!
All I can say is that it was worth waiting. Their
heuristic approach enabled them to produce a brilliant album featuring
a sound unheard in this area before. The groove, coming out of their
drums, bass, synthesizers and guitar is built from various music
styles melted into a breakbeat mass of pure positive energy. You
will get caught by the flow of melodies and beats, until you start
nodding your head thinking "yes, this is it!"
This BILK is Radioactive
and after listening to it for a while - unable to stop dancing and
shaking, moving and tapping – you might feel cursed. Your muscles
will ache like never before and there will be a big smile spread
over your face. Nothing will ever be like it was before. You will

The band has a proper name to conquer the world
in the year to come - Debeli Precjednik (Fat Prezident)
- a punkrock blast from Osijek, far east of Croatia. Melodic punkrock
can be really boring and dull, but these guys definitely know how
to make it fresh and unique. Their music is incredibly catchy while
still raw enough not to become too sweet and cheesy. With unique
emotional vocals on one side and sharp guitars and merciless driving
rhythms on the other they manage to capture and deliver incredible
energy, which grabs you in no time and your month suddenly starts
to singalong the lyrics and the song you don’t know. Just like
we all do with bands like Hot Water Music, Descendents and alike.
It's simply magic born from love for music, good jokes, passion
for football, and the taste of beer and wine.
The die-hards will maybe remember their beginnings
in 1996 and their first EP. Now, after two great full length albums,
numerous shows, few tours and especially hectolitres and tons of
alcohol drunk, it's time for a new chapter in their history. Debeli
Precjednik spent part of their summer/autumn time in Kozmo
Studio to record new full length called Through The
Eyes Of The Innocent which will be released on Moonlee
Records in the early months of 2006. Get ready to be blown away!
I always supported the idea that youngsters should explore new places and gain new experiences. And I'm happy to announce that one of my little children will hit the road again. In the first half of November Don't Mess With Texas will play twelve shows all around central Europe. I decided to finally give you a hint about my plans for the autumn/winter season! It is no secret anymore that I will be juggling with 4 new lemons in the near future, oops, I mean releases. Fresh, tasty and tempting.
And I'm really happy (I always think it's is better to be happy than proud) to announce that debut album of Bilk called This Bilk Is Radioactive will be released on Moonlee Records. They are without any doubt one of the most promising bands in Croatia and it makes no sense trying to capture the richness of their music with dull labels and descriptions. It is much better to simply let youself got caught by the flow of melodies and beats, until you find yourself noding your head thinking "yes, this is really good!". They are in the studio right finishing their material for the upcoming album which should see the light of the day by the end of the year. Dear friends, we are very sad having to inform you that we haven't left yet for the tour we so terribly waited for. Some unexpected interferences took control of our lifes and we had to cancel the first 4 shows of what was supposed to be a 9-day trip through Germany, Poland and Denmark. We are truly sorry and still looking for words to explain the situation to Ingo who booked all the shows, to the promoters and to the people that we would have met in Leipzig, Magdeburg, Muelheim and Hamburg. We feel miserable about this and we can't wait to get another chance to get to these places. Please don't be mad at us.
We'll hit the road on Monday evening so we can get to Aalborg, Denmark on Tuesday evening. This time no one will stop us. The shows that are left are listed bellow.

I am really excited! Miran from Analena a.k.a. one of my little helpers is getting married tomorrow. In the name of the whole Moonlee staff I'm raising this cup full of Moonleenade and making a toast: "Dear Miran and Jelena - live long in constant happyness and raise many cute kids!".
Summer time is coming and with it lots of cool open air festival where you can enjoy all these lousy bands, dance and sing-a-long like weirdest weirdo, talk to the nicest girl/boy you ever met (or at least you feel like it) or simply drink yourself to sleep. I simply love it and I must do everything to catch at least some of them....
Today I want to recommend you a special one – it is called CITY OF... FESTIVAL and it will happen in Mostovna / Nova Gorica (Slovenia) on 1st and 2nd of July. Some of my little kiddies named DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS and ENTREAT. will rock on the festival and since my headquaters are in that city I will be the one and only special guest of the festival.
Along my little kiddies there are tons of cool bands worth seeing - THE QUEERS (usa), CHILDREN OF FALL (swe), THE SECRET (ita), THE DEATH OF ANNA KARINA (ita), OVERMARS (fra), DEBELI PRECJEDNIK (cro), SURVIVING THE SUNSET (aut), LASTING VALUES (cro), ANGELS.MAY.BLEED (ita), LEAF-FAT, THA FLOW, FINAL APPROACH and MOZAK (slo).
But like I said in the beginning, music is not of biggest importance for many. That's why music program will be accompanied with video projections and after the show there will be wild disco party until the morning. Free camping will be possible on the courtyard of Mostovna, there will be space for distros, lots of vegan food and drinks, and especially delicious coffee in the morning.
Don't Mess With Texas will play this Sunday at Mochvara in Zagreb. Entrance is free, party starts at 17:00. I'll bring Moonleecake and Moonleetea. You should bring something sweet too! Eiscream would be perfect! They'll start to play around 19:00, before it gets dark. It'll be fun, don't miss it!

First of all, thanks to all of you who were there. It was nice to see you in a such huge amount. I was surprised. I hope you enjoyed all the bands. I truly did and after this I'll probably have more respect for them. Maybe we could have gain more publicity in the media if I performed the touch of death on that silly so called sound engineer but who cares now. We need more peace in the world anyway. In the end I also want to thank the man without whom all of this wouldn't possible. Mate Škugor - you are already a legend! to Dubrovnik (HR) with Lunar tomorrow
because Neven is still recovering from the injuries
he got when a car hit him a couple of days ago. Don't worry, it's
nothing serious. He'll be as good as new for the show in Nova
Gorica (SLO) next Saturday.
All my kids will gather on Feburary 25,
2005 in Zagreb, Croatia on the first and hopefully not
the last Moonlee Festival. I strongly advise you

RELEASE DATE OF VINYLS ARE BEING DELAYED

know how delays aren't very popular in these days, but I'm left
without no choice here. I'm going through a serious financial hiatus
because of some unexpected problems with Croatian Customs and I'm
forced to postpone the release date of vinyl versions of Analena
and DMWT albums. That's what happens when you are
breaking the law. Anyway, you vinyl lovers, be a bit more patient
and wait for them for a few days more. Thanks for understanding.

what a crazy week my helpers and I had! We drove through half of
Europe to pick up the Analena and Don't
Mess With Texas cds and to bring them over to my Slovenian
outpost. My E-store with secure payment options
will be functional by the end of this week. If you can't wait till

that I still hadn't had enough of driving through bad weather so
I joined Analena on their trip to Belgrade
and Novi Sad. I don't regret a single second of
the time spent there. It was amazing! Analenautics

family is small, but growing! Its newest member is an instrumental
and so called post-rock outfit named Don't Mess With Texas.
The band is from Zagreb, with ex-members of some great bands like
Nikad, Radio Free Isaac, Lunar
and Reactor. They have just finished recording
their self titled debut album and I'm more than happy to be the
one who is going to release it!
