LUNAR’s third full-length and first for the Moonlee family bears the title ‘Turbo’ because that is what it sounds like – an incessantly humming machine for the 21st century. It certainly feels like an appropriate name for their mainly instrumental tracks built around dynamic and propulsive rhythms that are attentively interwoven with delicate guitarpassages. ‘Turbo’ is the sound of a naked human being covered with interstellar dust wandering through a dense nebula, or perhaps the soundtrack of the darkest solar eclipse possible. It is a safe journey through space and time followed by a soft landing on our home planet. It may also be something completely different, though, something which yet needs to be defined by the listener’s very own experience.
